John Wiggins of the Black Boy was my 4 x great grandfather. He was a convict who landed in 1819 at Launceston aged 19. He left for Portland in 1840 where he was the licencee of the London Inn the building owned by Stephen Henty. John died in 1844. His eldest son John continued in the industry establishing the Black Boy in Drysdale Victoria. John Jr was a very successful hotelier in Camperdown building the beautiful Leura Hotel. He died aged 89 in East Melbourne.
