What this blog is about

This started as a place to collect odds and ends related to diversity in a historical context in Australia, but it’s been taken over by two projects, Chinese in Tasmania (pre-1870s people & temples) and coloured convicts. Once you start looking under these, you find more and more names.

So, I’ll give in and make it about these topics, and related  things, like cemeteries and other people who wander in.

(The “Why” in the URL comes from “Why do I need another blog?”)
