Launceston Cemeteries

This page is not update. There are BIGGER and BETTER photos here. (Scroll down the categories on the right for cemeteries.)

Carr Villa is Launceston's major cemetery. It opened in 1905 and is still in use.

There are no other extant cemeteries in Launceston other than in some outlying suburbs (Prospect, Franklin Village & St Leonards). As far as I know, all other cemetery sites have been cleared of headstones (some were moved to Carr Villa) and the sites have been redeveloped.
